Since 2015, he has worked in business development and strategy with hundreds of small businesses each year, from immigrant and refugee owned micro enterprises with Local First Arizona to nonprofit and corporate clients through RAIL CDC (the community development corporation he founded) and his consulting firm Innovative Urban Solutions, delivering over 10,000 hours of direct technical assistance along the way.
He holds a BA in Sustainable Urban Dynamics, a BS in Urban Planning, an MBA from Wilkes University, and an Executive Leadership Certificate from Harvard Kennedy School, and has taught small business finance as an adjunct professor at Northern Arizona University.
Ryan is Board Chair of the Arizona Asian Chamber of Commerce, active in Freemasonry through Mesa’s Oriental Lodge 20, and a father of two who brings the same hands on, relationship driven approach to helping local businesses grow that he brings to his own community and family.
